Mike Gundy Has The Moves

After OSU beat Texas A&M on Saturday, Mike Gundy thought it would be "wise" to bust a move. If this doesn't inspire them to beat Kansas after their off week, then I don't know what will. To catch the craziness that is Mike Gundy, check out the video below.

He Gone! Best Baseball Story of the Year, Thus Far.

 I'm heading to Miami, trick.

So, I am driving home last night and ESPN decides to send me a text message with the following message: "Source: White Sox Manager, Ozzie Guillen, traded to Marlins for 2 minor league players." What a blow to the ego! The ChiSox won a World Series with Guillen at the helm in 2005, but the ChiSox were ready to see him go after eight years together.

Ozzie had met with ChiSox Chairman Jerry Reinsdorf early yesterday, where Ozzie apparently forced Reinsdorf’s hand to commit to the Guillen on the heels of a disappointing season, or to end the relationship. Well, I guess the ChiSox didn't want to force over money because after the conclusion of last night's game, the White Sox announced that Guillen's tenure was over. Guillen did have a lot to say after the game and it's no surprise that he dropped the 'F' bomb, "More years? F*ck more years,” Guillen said. “I want more money." “I don’t work here for years. No, I want more money. Years? What, I’m going to die poor with the White Sox? Hell, no. “I live in Chicago and in the winter you only get drunk and get fat besides watching the Bulls play and the [Black]hawks.

Well, Ozzie here's to a fabulous time with the Marlins. Also, I think you'll enjoy it there because it's not so cold in Miami.

Colts Fans Have Something To Look Forward To.... 1st Draft Pick In The 2012 NFL Draft!

 Indianapolis Colts owner, Jim Irsay.

If you haven't been following ESPN religiously or you've been leaving under a rock for the past 6 months, then you probably have heard that the Indianapolis Colts' season ended 3 months before the 2011 NFL season started, when Colts QB, Peyton Manning, was out due to a neck injury. The worst fears have to come light today, after Colts owner, Jim Irsay, stated that Manning is out for the season. If this surprises you, jokes on you. But, on the bright side, Colts fans can look forward to having the 1st pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. Hopefully, they'll pick a QB to mold in case Manning ever goes down again, or worse, never plays a down in the NFL, again. Here's hoping!

The sexiest QB in the NFL, Peyton Manning.

'The Roar' Is The Best Thing About The Jaguars' Season This Year

The Jacksonville Jaguars football team can't decide who their QB will be and they are the worst team in the NFL, but at least these fine ladies will be the highlight of the season. 'The Roar', the Jaguars' cheerleaders, have announced the release of their 2011 calendar. Blaine Gabbert has bought 19 copies.

Brett Favre -- Color Analyst?

Ol' Brett Favre is going to take a stab at being a color analyst, when he covers his alma mater, Southern Mississippi, October 1st against Rice. It should be a nice change of scenery for the guy. How much do you want to bet he wears his 'Wranglers'? Words of wisdom, Brett: Keep your cell phone away from the cheerleaders.

Manny Ramirez Misses The Good Life

So, Manny retires from MLB back in April because he violated MLB's drug policy. It should be noted that this is his second violation and is facing a 100-game suspension.Well, he got arrested for domestic abuse, tried to join his former Dominican League team, the Aguilas Cibaenas, but he can't since he is an inactive player. Look, Manny. We know you're all about "Manny being Manny", but wisin' up! Major league baseball teams don't want liabilities, only assets. You've won two World Series and you've hit 555 homers and had a .312 average. I'm here to tell you that your attitude has created such a negative image that far outweighs your hitting abilities. You're not a solution, you're a problem. Sit out your 100-games and ship yourself off to Japan because no one cares to see you act like a 12-year old kid.

Dream Team Turns 20

Don't utter the words "Dream Team" unless you are referring to the USA Basketball's "Dream Team", which is the greatest team to ever be assembled. I can't believe it's been twenty years. Sigh...

My Grandmother Would Never Do This

If you're a grandmother tailgating at the Univ. of Michigan, what do you do? Why, you shotgun beers! The crowd was loving these two fine citizens, but what is wrong with our elderly these days???

People Need To Stop Inviting Lady Gaga To NY Sporting Events

Madonna would've done this too...

Lady Gaga again showed why she is loathing NY teams Monday night at MetLife Stadium, when the Giants played the Rams. In the fourth quarter, the classy broad poured out a glass of champagne out of her luxy box and immediately left afterwards. Let me remind you that Lady Gaga has flipped the bird at a Mets game and chugged whiskey and fondled herself in the Yankee Stadium clubhouse. I don't know who keeps inviting her to games, but this Madonna-wannabe should be banned from all sporting events. I like Lady Gga nad everything she does for the LBGT community, but this behavior is unacceptable.

Cam Newton Isn't the Cat's Meow

 Cam Newton

For everyone who thinks Cam Newton is the "next big thing" just keep in mind that Ryan Leaf won his first 2 games as a starter. Cam Newton may have thrown 400+ yards in his first 2 games, but he has yet to WIN a game and look where those 2 wins got Ryan Leaf. Please, stop praising the guy and his 'arm'. It's sickening to listen to and I would like to be able to watch football on Saturday and Sunday without hearing about Scam Newton. Thanks and have a great day!

Tom Brady, NFLPA sued and rightly so

DeMaurice Smith
Tom Brady

Mike Vrabel

As you may have heard, a group of retired NFL Hall of Fame players filed a lawsuit Tuesday against the NFL Players Association, union president DeMaurice Smith, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and former player Mike Vrabel, claiming these gentlemen did not have the authority to negotiate on their behalf during the labor dispute. "The retirees' rights were sacrificed for the benefit of the active players," plaintiffs' layers Michel Hausfeld told Yahoo! Sports. This disgusts me beyond belief. Both parties, in this instance, are wrong, wrong, wrong. It's upsetting to see that the retirees didn't have anybody there negotiating these terms and stipends on their behalf, ON THEIR BEHALF. If it's going to affect you physically, mentally, financially, then be there and stand up for what is right for YOU. Instead of complaining AFTER THE FACT, stop your bellyaching and FIX THE PROBLEM. Also, the NFL should take a look at what soldiers, that serve our country and fight for our freedom, do. For any current soldier, they pay monthly into an "old soldiers fund". This helps take care of the great men who served and protected the USA many years ago. If the NFL wants to be looked at as heroes, maybe they should take a look at how real "heroes" do things and maybe, just maybe, they would learn a thing or to, but I am not holding my breath.

Who Has Tom Brady and Wes Welker On Her Fantasy Football Team? I Do, Suckers!

As you can see after watching Monday's MNF game between the Dolphins v. Patriots that Welker/Brady are the best WR/QB combo in the League. Yes, the NFL lockout kept practicing with teammates virtually impossible and not having enough time to adjust to new and exisiting players is hard, but Tom Brady knows how to keep himself together and poised. I am not a New England Patriots fan, but Tom Brady is the best quarterback in the league. Compared to their Super Bowl winning season back in 2009 to last year, Brady wasn't the best (4,400 yards passing, compared to 3,900 in '10). Look, people were doubting Brady/Belichick after they lost to the Jets in the Division Playoffs, but don't count these guys out yet. If you are still a hater, well I'll have my friend Frank Farmer escort you out.

PS - I guess I should have drafted Sebastian Janikowski instead of Nate Kaeding. Kickers will be the death of me. Mark my words, friends.

Peyton Hillis was a BEAST in High School

If I were the Free Safety that got annihilated by future Cleveland Browns Running Back Peyton Hillis, I would give up playing football and stick to Medical School. But, if I tried to tackle Peyton Hillis, I would definitely let him run over me, any day. Yeah, he's a stud.

The Greatest First Pitch Thrown, Ever.

This is a Cirque de Soleil performer throwing out the first pitch at the Padres v. Royals game at Petco Park in June. This is the greatest first pitch thrown, ever. Enjoy!

No Hats Off To MLB

MLB, you left a sour taste in my mouth Sunday. Not letting the Mets players wear hats that recognized NYPD, NYFD Port Authority Police and other first responders, who lost their lives on 9/11, broke my heart and ticked me off. Mets players representative, Josh Thole, should have thumbed his nose at the MLB's edict for mandating the Mets wear authorized caps. Instead of looking the other way, MLB, your agenda was disturbing and for that, you should be completely ashamed and disgusted of your actions. During batting practice, Jose Reyes and other teammates wore hates to commemorate the first responders on that tragic day 10 years ago, but they should have been able to wear the hats boldly and proudly.

The Big 12 Cannot Be Saved

I have had several people ask me for my opinion on how the Big 12 can be saved and I am here to tell you that it cannot be saved. Yes, Big 12 fans don't have to hear from Nebraska fans anymore, so we are rejoicing over them leaving for the Big 10, but Big 12 commissioner, Dan Beebe, has not been trying his hardest to save this Conference. Yes, he saved the Conference last year when Texas was being flirted with the Pac-10, by giving them The Longhorn Network, but he has not been working diligently to get other schools to come join the Big 12. SMU has shown interest, but SMU would be a death wish, Boise State will be nothing without Kellen Moore. All the Broncos are remembered for is beating OU in the Fiesta Bowl back in 2007 and were upset by Nevada last year. Also, Arkansas will not even think of joining the Big 12. Why would Arkansas leave the money Juggernaut that is the SEC? Look, the smaller colleges are going to get left behind and there will be 4 'super' conferences and the small guys will be left in the dust. The Big 12 is done, unless by some miracle, 3 schools can fill the slots of Colorado, Nebraska and Texas A&M, but don't hold your breath.

Brian Wilson is Desirable

This is a video of San Francisco Giants closer, Brian Wilson, working out. If you know me, then you would know how infatuated I am with him. Yes, I find it incredibly sexy that he has such an amazing personality, he is witty, smart and can put a smile on my face, but he plays baseball, is a family man and a Christian. I deemed it necessary to share the following video of one sexy ninja. Also, I posted some pictures of "The Machine", just in case you couldn't get enough of him from the video. Ladies, enjoy.

How can this picture not make you want to be around him?

 Mmm, bodacious.

I Introduce To You.... Bianca La Russa

Bianca La Russa is the daughter of St. Louis Cardinals manager, Tony La Russa, and she is the newest member of the Oakland Raiderettes. Before this bit of news hit the airwaves, no one even knew of her, or knew Tony La Russa had an attractive daughter. Congrats on this accomplishment, Bianca. Now, just don't let Al Davis touch you.

Brock Lesner to Fight Alistar Overeem December 30

UFC money maker, Brock Lesnar, is set to fight newly signed and former Stirkeforce heavyweight champion, Alistar Overeem, at the MGM Grand - Las Vegas December 30."Brock is a big name, dangerous guy, and this is a dream matchup," Overeem said. "Brock's a big guy, an exciting wrestler with his takedowns.” The winner of this bout is first in line to fight the winner of the November 12 fight between Velasquez and Dos Santos. This is the fight everyone is geared up to see. Both of these fighters are electric and it will bring huge ratings, which UFC President Dana White, will love.

Who Knew Doug Flutie's Daughter Was Such A Hottie?

To the guys, I have a special treat for you. Above is Alexa Flutie. She is the daughter of Doug Flutie and she is a Cheerleader for the New England Patriots. To all the haters that think Alexa got the job because of her dad says you are all wrong. “I’ve heard a couple people – maybe comments online or people just talking about (how) I got it because of my dad,” Alexa said. “… The cheerleaders have been absolutely great, they don’t judge me in any way whatsoever. “I didn’t want to bring attention to my last name (during tryouts) because when I do audition, I want it to be about me and my goals and my career… I want people to know me for me, not my dad,” Alexa said. Thanks for the insight, Alexa, but who are you kidding?

Mark Richt Will Be Fired After Losing to South Carolina Next Week

The Mark Richt Era at Georgia is about over. After losing to Kellen Moore and Co. Saturday, Richt will have coached his last game come next Saturday. Yes, the Coach lost a lot of players in '09, but this should have been a rebuilding year, but it hasn't. Richt has lost his 'golden' touch and the fans in Georgia have about had it with his lackluster talent pool and are raising hell for this Era to be over and done with. The last time Richt led Georgia to an SEC title was back in 2005, he has a 90-27 record with Georgia (he's been there since 2001), and he has coached NFL-caliber players (Ben Watson - 2003, Matt Stafford-2009 and Knowshon Moreno-2009). Mark Richt can get players to come to his university, but he has to be able to rebuild year after year and he wasn't able to do that after the 2009 season. Fans in Athens can't take another losing season and Mark Richt will be out if he can't beat the "Ol' Ball Coach" next week.

I would like to take this time to mention how HAPPY and EXCITED I am now that football is back. I spent all night Saturday evening watching 5 games, at once. I thought my head was going to explode!

What else have we learned from the first week of college football? Well, I'm glad you asked! Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride because it is going to be one bumpy ride.

The Big 12 is Dunzo
Texas signed a deal for their own network just this past year (it debuted this past weekend) and OU, OSU and TT won't leave without each other. The Pac-12 wants Pickens money and they will do whatever it takes to get OU and OSU to sign with them. The Pac-12 and SEC are the conferences to be in. They are the conferences with the best teams and to be the best you have to beat the best. This would be a tremendous deal for any Oklahoma school, let alone any Big 12 team. OU flirted with the idea of leaving the Big 12 after Colorado and Nebraska left town, but along with Texas, decided to stay put. With Texas A&M out of the picture and Texas having their own Network, OU holds the cards now and OU President David Boren says he'll make a decision in "three weeks" whether OU will stay or go. 2011 may just be the last year the Big 12 conference exists, but only time will tell.

Thursday Opened With A Dud
Yes, Saturday is THE day to watch college football, but with the lockout pretty much hogging the spotlight all summer and the fiasco's the NCAA has been dealing with for the past couple of months, had me pumped and excited that football was on the horizon. Boy, was I disappointed! Thursday's games were a bore. Yes, a bore. I would have enjoyed watching paint dry than watch any of those games on Thursday, which is exactly what I did after work. If the NCAA wants to drum up buzz and get people's attention off their handling of mishaps, they should schedule better games on Opening Night.

Beer Should Be Sold At College Games
There are 20 colleges that sell beer at their games. Yes, underage kids congragate at these games, but that's why you ID people. College's that don't sell beer or alcohol at games are losing out on big money and people are drunk at games anyway, pregaming outside before the game starts. People need to get with the times and losen up their ties. I thought the NCAA and colleges were all about the benjamin's? I guess not.

The NFL is A Place For Crooks and Cheats
Jim "The Vest" Tressel has become a "replay specialist" with the Colts, but won't be able to start his new gig 'til Week 7. The reasoning behind the push back? Well, if Terrelle Pryor has to serve a suspension, so do you. It's only fair, guys! What a bunch of crock. Well, hopefully he'll be more honest about replays than he was with "Tattoosgate."

Oregon Never Stood A Chance Against The SEC
Kelly and the Oregon Ducks lost to LSU (who played without their starting QB, Jordan Jefferson) and the Ducks got roasted. The SEC showed everyone that the SEC is THE conference to beat. Oregon plays at Arizona October 15th. The Wildcats could give the Ducks a run for their money, but Oregon will play for the Pac-12 Championship game come December 2nd.

OU and Alabama Are THE Teams to Beat
The Sooners schedule looks to be tough, but they are playing Texas Texas and Texas A&M at home, but haters should be cautious: A&M will not snap OU's home-game winning streak. Landry Jones and Co. will be prepared (better prepared) after losing to the Aggies last season. They won't make the same mistake twice. Alabama plays at Penn State, at Florida, at Auburn, but hosts LSU. Alabama won't have any problems, even though Will Muschamp will try to hold Alabama's D, it won't happen. Although, I would like to congratulate Muschamp on his first win as a Head football Coach.

This first week has been an exciting one and I am thrilled to see what else will take place the coming weeks.
